Maybe I'm finally old enough to have lived through a few decent downturns now. I worked for a big financial company in 2008. 25% of our offices got laid off, including people that knew how to code.

Most people don’t understand how thin the margins can be...even for mega corporations. A month of no revenue can cripple a large percentage of the businesses in this country.
