Was in the Astrodome in 1986 to watch Mike Scott throw a no-hitter against San Fran. And send the Stros to the league championship. A fellow co-worker had tickets but decided not to go. Was Magic and euphoria in the Dome that afternoon.

Listened to that one on the radio. Afternoon game. Only no-hitter in MLB history to clinch a pennant (NL West) of any kind up until that time.

Exact same story for me, and I can't remember who my co-worker was. You didn't work for Kaneb or one of it's subsidiaries at the time, did you? Sat about 5-6 rows up right behind the Astro's on deck circle. And you are right, it was magical and euphoric. Can still picture Glen Davis running to first to make the final put out unassisted right in front of us.
