The early Church encouraged the use of scripture as a source to correct error. Today we (Christians) still use scripture to point out error. In St.Paul's 2nd letter to Timothy he writes this......

"Everything in the scripture has been divinely inspired, and has its uses; to instruct us, to expose our errors, to correct our faults, to educate us in holy living" - 2 Timothy 3:16

I oppose the homosexual lifestyle, I don't oppose the individual. Big Big difference. An individual may have a same sex attraction but as long as the individual does not engage in the homosexual act he/she does not sin against the Seventh Commandment - Thou shall not commit adultery. Same way with a person in a covenant heterosexual marriage as long as the person does not engage in sexual relations with a person other than a spouse he/she does not sin against the Seventh Commandment. Both are called to practice Chastity according to their state in life.

So let's put to rest this notion we Christians hate homosexuals. It's just not so. However, we are obligated to point out with brotherly or sisterly love the error (and dangers) of the homosexual lifestyle.

Bottom line. The homosexual lifestyle is disordered. On that Holy Scripture is very clear.

When you were born, did you know there was a God? Did you know about Jesus? Of course not.

So who indoctrinated you? Church? Family? Friends?

The point isn't about Christians being against homosexuals, it's the hypocrisy of calling TV's choice to include gay characters a form of indoctrination while being COMPLETELY oblivious that your own anti-homosexual views are founded upon your own indoctrination into religion.
