They don't have enough kits to test everyone for it.
They don't have enough hospital space to put everyone with it in there even if they could test for it effectively.
They tested a woman with it four times before she finally came up positive days later.
They have no idea how many actually have this thing.
They are counting people who die without a positive kit test as something other than the virus.
They are only accepting people with pneumonia past the triage into the hospitals if they even have space for them.
They're finding that even with people who are locked down in their own rooms in cruise ships and apartment buildings it's transmitting and creating new cases. The fear is that it's traveling via sewage pipes in feces. If that's true, there's no stopping it. People aren't reaching into toilets.
They aren't' stopping this one. They're undercounting everything related to it. Get your provisions together now for a prolonged lockdown. I suspect they'll maintain the grid like they're doing in China. Just have to ride it out. Next year they might have a vaccine.
It's a SARS derivative. WHO says SARS had an actual fatality rate of 14%. ABC reported today that our government was saying as much as 60% of the planet might be effected by this. Do the math. Will make WW2 look like a paltry attempt at murder.
Or not.
We're about to find out.

For the downvoters, the good news is that it doesn't survive nearly as long on surfaces in warm climates as cooler ones. Five days on a flat dry surface in the seventies vs almost four times that long in the cold and wet.
Pray they can delay this thing through the spring. American hygiene levels should also help a lot vs what we're seeing now.
Downvote yourselves silly. Doesn't change anything a month from now or a year from now.
I hope you're right. I've never once thought one of these things was at this scale. But I started seeing stuff coming out about three weeks ago about this one that made me go ahead and shed any shame about calling wolf on this one. Everything that's happened since has been completely predictable. We're not stopping this. We might get lucky. Hope so. But the only thing we can do is keep people from moving while it's around. It's too contagious.

Yes we are...
Summer Olympics 2020 in Tokyo.
If anyone is planning to go, just wait few months to book your travel. Pretty sure you'll get a killer deal. In-flight movies will surely feature Contagion (YouTube Trailer).
