You’re way off. She is the Speaker of The House of Representatives. One of the leaders of the branches of government and in line for the presidency. When she accepted speaker, she should have tabled some of her more radical side to be able to properly navigate legislation because that is the job she chose. If she didn’t want to do that, then she could have stayed a normal representative. She also has a duty to be professional and not act petty.

I don't disagree that she shouldn't make overtly partisan displays like tonight and that goes against tradition but sending her copies of the SOTU is absurd. Yes she is the leader of the House but she also still is only beholden to her constituents. Treating every random Representative like they represent the country and not just their district is one of the reasons federalism has been destroyed.
