So the whole "start em young" and "lifetime Tiger fans", and all the stories, told with fondness, about times in the stadium with your kids is just bullshite. All that is cool. Kids tossing the football around tailgates cant happen because of keg stands and rap. No one can find a trash can and leave the place a dump, and we cant filter our language. Our culture is pretty trashy. No wonder we suck so bad.

Wut? All of that can happen simultaneously, but you have to parent your child as far as which of the behaviors they observe you deem acceptable for them to do. This really isn't that hard.

I would not be happy if my daughter told someone to suck a dick. I also do not avoid LSU sporting events where STTDB is invariably going to be said. I tell her that language is not to be repeated, and then we move on. It's really not any harder than that.

You aren't going to stop people from saying it, but that doesn't mean your child is destined to a life of trashiness if they hear it. Do your job as a parent.

No one said it was hard.

Everyone is saying it is vulgar, unbecoming, and unnecessary.

We all CAN navigate it, the fact that we are having to is the issue.
