Kind of. If you zoom out in satellite view, you can see the black belt pretty clearly. The landscape looks the same as the MS delta. It forms a crescent shape basically from Tupelo to Tuskegee. It is most often associated with the towns along Highway 80 though; Demopolis, Selma, and Montgomery

Barbour county would be the "wiregrass" area

Yes it’s in The southern part of the black belt. We’re also around the corner or Dale and Barbour. I’ve killed two great bucks in 4 days, but have seen 2 deer. Not unhappy, just find it way different than anywhere I’ve hunted before.
