Can I have less than zero fricks to give? It's pretty easy to stay out of prison. I do volunteer work in prisons and I don't ask (actually we never ask) what they are in for. But, they should have been fully aware of the risks and consequences of doing whatever it is they did. If they didn't understand the consequences potential, then that's on them. That being said, there are huge discrepancies in sentencing here and everywhere based on what kind of defense you present. Those that can afford decent attorneys end up with shorter sentences than those that must rely on public defenders. But, again, know the consequences of your actions.
