Why the frick would a rebuilding team trade away the #1 pick and potential franchise QB for the next 15-20 years for a 41 year old QB on the decline that may only play 1 or 2 more seasons at most? A team that had a solid roster and was a QB away from super bowl contention might trade for him, but not a bottom feeder team with the #1 overall pick

But you can’t trade Brees considering he’s a not currently even under contract. Same for Bridgewater. Any team can just try to sign either of them outright as a free agent and not have to give up any players or picks to do it
