The article was pinpointing LSU graduates of a degree program and not LSU Law School. If it were merely social or racial injustice why point at LSU? Was it to smear LSU with racism?

I dont think the article was meant to "smear LSU with racism." I think if a similar study was conducted for many schools the result would be the same. I think the point of the article was to show how inconspicuous racial inequities still exist in our supposedly "post-racial society."
