Ultimately if he wants to coach in the NFL, he would go. NFL isn’t a 365 day a year grind with recruiting like college is so if that’s where he wants to be, dude earned it. I’m fine with it.

He’s a yankee, and the nfl is the pinnacle of a coaches career. College football means nothing to people in the northeast and he’s one of them. If you don’t think he’ll be on an nfl team next year, you’re in denial.
Half the teams in the nfl will be after this guy, he’s had the most remarkable season ever in college football.
