I believe there is a renewed fight in the house members now and things would be different. We may not get to find out till the second half of Trump’s next 4 years.

They are who you chose to blame, that does not mean it is all on them.
I blame all of them, those shitheads for playing both sides of the fence and Trump for being so tone deaf he thought he could get what he wanted by being insulter in chief.
FedGov is not a private company where you can just do as you wish and always get what you want and it took him a while to come to that realization.
Had he held feet to the fire instead of hurling barbs at his own team there would be a lot more wall built and the ACA would be DOA.
