They have he # 2 or # 3 cladepending on who youbelieve so why is he worried.

Other than Cam Robinson name another Saban recruit from LA who would beenn upgrade to the position over those LSU signed

Could say a lot here, but I'll stick wit the three main points:

1.) It's not about what those players would have done at LSU. The topic is what those players did at Alabama. Cam Rob, Moses, Buggs, Collins, D Smith, Irv Smith, Tim Williams, etc...they were all important to those teams and illustrate how Bama relies heavily on LA talent.

2.) Perception matters in recruiting. LSU losing to Bama in our own backyard in Jan 2012 followed by losing the state's top recruit to them in a very public way hurt. Saban sells that. He loves to be able to say that he can take our top recruits or take kids from U High so that he can say he outrecruits LSU on their own campus. Coach O locking things down and changing that perception hurts Bama's ability to pull the kids that they need from our state while also strengthening both our team AND our ties to those high schools for future recruits.

3.) Lets say Bama finishes with the #2 or #3 class, as you said. Who is #1 or #2? Schools he recently lost to? LSU has finished in the top 5 or at least top 10 in recruiting for quite a while, but the talent gap widened, especially in the trenches. The trend can swing the other way if we keep the Louisiana and Texas kids here. We are already seeing it and it will get even better with the D line class that LSU is signing this year. It ain't the Xs and Os, it's the Jimmies and the Joes, and if he can't get them from LA (or TX or GA), it makes his job a lot harder.

THAT, my friend, is why he is worried.
