You definitely can't do that with the google wifi unless all you need is private wifi and guest (internet-only) wifi. I'm doubtful you can do it with the Orbi, but it is a bit more advanced so maybe? I 100% do that with the Ruckus Unleashed though. If you also screw around with active directory at home, you can hook it all together with a radius/NPS server and enable 802.1x.
You can always hang two different wifi's off of your network. I personally think a single SSID is the best experience if you have multiple APs.

It's not essential, but I'd like to be able to segment certain devices like smart devices from my regular home network. Basically have an internet only network. If I had a separate Ssid on a different vlan I could make all that work with my erx.
