IMOO, it will not be recieved well from a top LA prospect that has been committed and has intentions of honoring his word that LSU is now intending to replace you with a higher ranked prospect from another state. All consequences should be carefully considered before employing this strategy.

If this message is conveyed constructively and appropriately the situation will be limited to hurt feelings. If anything this new nationwide recruiting will stop the high profile guys from playing games.
See Roy and Guillory this year. No source here, but I’d have a hard time imagining in previous years, we’d get those guys so early in the cycle.
