The SEC championship means a lot to the players and coaches. No way they would try to slack that game off just to rest up for a potential playoff game. They want that championship badly.

Team goals tend to follow a set of events. Win your matchup. Win the game. Win the division. Win the SEC. Win the CFP. Those are things that happen in chronological order and somewhat depend on the previous goals being met in order to reach the next one. That's how they'll view it.

I do, and i still think Georgia had the best season that year.

Winning the SEC is a purely objective feat. Undeniable and indisputable unlike any national postseason.

Plus they won an amazing bowl game against the Heisman winner.
