Well if you manage the production of construction products now then perhaps you should consider a career in construction sales. You already have an idea of how to produce quality materials, you could use that knowledge to convince a prospect that what you're selling is better than anything else on the market. Believe me, a little bit of knowledge-induced confidence in your voice goes a very long way when trying to close a deal.

That or industrial sales is a good recommendation imo. You won't get the job replying to online postings since you lack experience. Start developing relationships with your suppliers and vendors. It's a process. You likely won't get there in a month or two. It'll take some time.
