The ONLY reason Brennan subs into play is to make sure Burrow doesnt get hurt. This is done at every level of football and backup qbs never run the same offense as the starter.

The first reason being that coaches focus on this year and wont care about next year until next year.

The second reason being why add fuel to the fire for the next time you play your current opponent?

Yeah they might not want to beat us next if we only beat them 36-13.

Never??? I can think of one coach and situation that contradicts your statement. Turned out to be a pretty smart move too. But frickem anyway.
