He later testified that he had had no meetings with Russians during the campaign.
Trump met privately with Kislyak and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in the White House the day after Trump fired James Comey. Trump did not allow any U.S. officials or any of the press to attend or report on that meeting.
