I disagree. Florida put up 460 yards and 28 first downs. The first downs stat is telling as it shows how they consistently moved the ball up and down the field.

Keep in mind, we were going up against a backup (that, in my opinion, is better than Franks) with a bum knee. Trask looked great out there.

When the third-strong backup QB went in, you knew he was going to run it. He got considerable yardage every time.

We had many successful blitzes that we'd over run or Trask would simply sidestep effortlessly to avoid.

We also missed many turnover opportunities. Point being, this defense brought a whole lot back this year. I think it's fair to say that we thought this would be an elite unit. They just aren't.

Sadly, looking at the roster (Chaisson, Phillips, Delpit, Queen, Stingley, Stevens, Fulton, etc.) I don't think it's a "lack-of-talent" issue...

Our defensive line is average to below average. That is the issue plain and simple.

You cannot give any competent QB 5 and 6 seconds to throw.

We do this week after week like it is our plan. We gave up six or seven 75 yard drives.

Bama is going to torch our defense. Fortunately our offense might in fact torch theirs
