They had this situation pop up on an episode of Live PD... and I believe it was with 1 of the Florida agencies where it happened.
owner called the cops to get some squatters out of their vacation house (I believe it was a snowbird from Massachusetts)... cop basically said I can't do anything... you have to go through civil court and and evict them
I got so pissed off watching that segment... squatters laws should not exist

Can anyone explain to me a logical reason for a squatter to be allowed to stay in someone’s home that wants them out?
