I was a JR at the time and the “brother fraternity” at Alabama hosted us before the game. They were kissing our asses and talking about how big of a party they were having after the game. The party “would have the best band available and the most girls in attendance out of all of the other fraternity parties.” They even asked a lot of my pledge brothers who didn’t have tickets to watch the game with them at their house.
When the game finally ended, I got a text that all LSU brothers were told to leave the house once the game went to OT and that they cancelled their party-of-the-year once they officially lost the game.
Then the entire city of Tuscaloosa turned its lights off.
Truly, one of the most pathetic things I have ever seen.

That same day a friend and I were staying with an old hs buddy of mine and his two buddies that all went to Bama. Had a great day tailgating, etc.
We finally made it back to the house after the game and the guy’s two crazy roommates had smashed a bunch of bottles and were in the yard trying to pull a tree out of the ground.
They told us we couldn’t stay anymore. The city was a ghost town anyways so we drove to Starkville and ended up having a pretty great time!
I’ve been back twice since, once for a game and another to visit a friend. Pretty lame place to put a school, I have no interest in going back.

I had this exact experience for that game. I watched it in the fraternity house with a bunch of Bama guys and they were quiet after the game, but fine. When the guys from the stadium started getting in, it got hostile. We were quickly told to get the F out.
Then we thought we could find a bar. Nope, they all shut down for the night.
