I can confirm this.
There is nothing down there.
A few years ago, they added a Family Dollar or Dollar General near my Aunt’s house in Coden which is just east of Bayou L Batre on the road to Daulphin Island. Life’s little conveniences.
That place was isolated and quiet. I wish I could move there until I found out about how crazy some of their property taxes can be on assessed items that literally have no value.
