I learned about it first from a thread on this site years ago. The Disneyland thread reminded me of the story.

I apologize deeply sir and will make sure it never happens again. I am just honored to be the recipient of attention from a wizened TD.com vet and celebrate the generous contribution you have lent to this otherwise stale topic.

I am strongly impelled to follow through with self-imposed corrective actions so as to prevent ever finding myself on the barrel end of another embarrassing dress down. I am also very open to direction.

I salute your use of sarcasm, you are a man who understands that understated incisiveness and hyperbole go together like motorized grocery carts and ebt cards.

I promise you, and the board's patronage in toto, if ever again I find myself entertaining a notion of starting a topic, I'll recall this humiliating episode and make absolutely sure that a topic is unassailably fresh before posting. I was on the fence before, but henceforth it shall be my resolved policy to bump the most recent thread covering any given topic yielded by a thorough vetting process/ google search. Furthermore, I shall do so regardless of the length of time that has passed since the OG thread was last active.
