Why do you turn the AC off?

Why not?

If you're not using it, why does it matter?

We had sodas pop in the cabinet at the beach house when left off for extended periods. My bill averages the same if I leave it at 80 when not there than when we used to shut it down, electronically monitoring your meter is cool, it would spike about $20 every time we showed up and had to cool the house down from the 90’s to 73. Only costs around $5 a month to keep it at 78-80 when not there

Utility company charges us a minimum regardless so it isn’t a big hit or really a cost at all to keep it conditioned to some degree year round and probably better for the carpet and interior any ways
