And Kias and Hyundai’s are piece of shite vehicles. Fantastic looking and they have all the bells and whistles but they’re engines are complete trash and the nice cosmetic stuff quickly starts to “cheapen”. Been in the automotive business for 20 years and got roped in by the better half to get her a Sportage in 2012. Engine blew at 70,000 miles. Kia has a 100,000 mile power train warranty however if you by a demo, loaner or used (still under bumper to bumper and for this thread we will say 20,000 miles on the used options) car , the power train warranty is null and void (because you didn’t buy the car (new off the lot) in all three of those cases. They had a recall for engine failure from 2012-2016(?) and just so happens this Sportage (2012) didn’t have the correct variance of vin # to be covered under the recall. Yet when paying $7,500.00 to have the engine rebuilt with all new parts (inside and out) the parts installed were the same exact parts that the engine recall called to replace. I’m still thinking our day will come and we will see that money again (and they’ve since added more vin #s to the recall but not the entire generation of motor as of yet. Kia/Hyundai (one in the same) is fricking junk.

TLDR: Kia/Hyundai do not deserve your business. I can if you’ve gotten lucky already. Pain is coming.
