It's been a very tough season. Losing players to injury cannot be overemphasized. But this team was a preseason number 1. When preseason expectations of that magnitude are not realized the season in general is viewed as a failure. I personally think it's still been a very good season even if it ends in the Super Regional. But most people will see it as a failure simply because of the preseason expectations. Had LSU's preseason expectations been a ranking in the 20's then most people would see losing in the SR a successful season. But it has still, IMO, been a good season, not great, I mean, this is LSU baseball, we were a dynasty in the 1990's. Anything less than a NC isn't a great season, or even a really good season, but good, not bad, good.
