And accountability = freedom.

A lot of people don’t really want freedom. It’s a lot of work, a lot of responsibility and they’re either too lazy or too stupid to handle it. So they prefer being led around by the nose. It simplifies things for them when they don’t have to think for themselves, to decide for themselves.
