Seems like the definition of 'all in' is changing on a daily basis. I thought it was meant to entail a long-term extension.

But my posed question still stands: What will Davis' requirements be such that he finally buys into this team on a long-term deal? That it is not easily ascertainable is problematic in-and-of-itself. And, more likely, what it probably requires is something this franchise simply won't be able to obtain in the extra year it continues to humor AD.

I sincerely doubt it will be something as ephemeral as 'I want to see the team make good progress' versus (what will be in his mind but left unsaid), 'we need to make the Conference Finals.' I'm not really interested in half measures and I'm content to receive one of the packages of assets that's being bandied about by the likely suspects. Assets that might get worse over time depending on the success of the likely trade partners. But that's just one man's opinion.
