Thanks for the clarification.

I'm not graduating until May 2020, so when I said that I'll keep an eye out, I really meant that I won't apply until closer to that time.

Unless if federal hiring is fundamentally different, the advice that I've always been given is to wait to apply until you're at least 3-4 months from graduation at the earliest.

You should listen to the overview presentation when you get a chance. A huge perk of working out at Stennis is the Center for Higher Learning

You can attain a PhD while working out there if you put in the work and most of the employers (whether contractor or govt) will reimburse the cost. Getting a PhD for free isn't a bad deal.
