That's not the way it works. In my previous post I put the link to the physicist jobs announcement. You must apply to it. Then, HR will forward your application to every group that has an opening. You need to navigate the process to be successful.

I worked out there 18 years for various agencies before moving on.

Thanks for the clarification.

I'm not graduating until May 2020, so when I said that I'll keep an eye out, I really meant that I won't apply until closer to that time.

Unless if federal hiring is fundamentally different, the advice that I've always been given is to wait to apply until you're at least 3-4 months from graduation at the earliest.
