Just posted this on another site, but wanted to see if anyone here had any thoughts or insights on this:
Looking at LSU's 247 recruiting page, I was interested to find that they have Mason Miller as a "high choice" prospect remaining for LSU. Mason is a 4 star, top 100 player, but more importantly he is the son of former NBA player and now former Memphis asst. coach, Mike Miller. I would've thought for sure he'd either be a Memphis lock or even that Florida would be a player given that is his dad's alma mater. But UF is not even on the list and Memphis is currently listed as "cool".
Would be a bit of coup if Wade snuck into Memphis' backyard and stole a top 100 player that is son of a former asst. coach, especially considering the recent high profile recruiting battles b/w the 2 schools. Curious if Miller didn't leave on good terms; however, I don't think I ever saw anything that suggested that at all. All the talk was that he simply left in order to focus on his family. In fact, he is actually his son's HC at Houston H.S., which is located just outside of Memphis.
