no. this is what happens when people come in on meth/opiods and have to be sedated. thus occupying an ER bed for 4-6 hours and preventing other people from coming back and being treated. these patients can't be admitted upstairs. psych patients result in the same outcome.

Or even worse cause they can tie up a bed for a day (or days) as they wait for a bed to open up at an inpatient psych facility.

Beds take up too much room so you can’t have as many.

They should increase capacity with Naugahyde Lazy-boys. Put 8-10 in a room where there used to be a bed.
