Seed is coated with Ash. They Crow then in green houses now. Each family that farms it has a green house. They then plant the babies in the field.

Only perique.
The ash trick hasn’t been used for seed in a while by most. They send the seed off to have it pelletized.
I can pretty well assure you that as long as Perique is grown in rich Mississippi delta dirt (i.e. from New Orleans to Memphis) it would grow a quality Perique that you couldn’t tell the difference between.
