This is just not true, and It doesn't matter how many times that worm Ben Shapiro says it. Feeling actually don't care about facts and people act based on how they feel.

Facts and reason are very potent, I've recently heard someone propose that much of the west's success is based on developing and adopting a systematic approach for finding truth. Basically the scientific method.
I don't know if that's really the reason for this period of relative success, but it seems plausible. I think it's important to note that facts and logic are not enough in and of themselves.
