If you want new think about Bordeaux on Magazine for brunch I think it would suffice. Can't really comment other than weather seems like it will clear up by that morning and it is a great setting. Food will probably be just above average for brunch. Backup is try to get a res at Atchafalya on short notice.

I always liked High Hat for a dinner because the menu is pretty big, informal, and everything is done up right. Parking is pretty simple too. I can bring foodies or critics and they seem to appreciate it.

One of the food halls might not be a bad plan either, but their vendors aren't as strong as they have been in the past.

Red's Chinese is a cool unique place.

Red Dog Diner for breakfast, although they are starting to have a waiting list for breakfast. Still good food though.

Toups, midcity or south. South has a great kitchen bar that can be interactive and if your group gets the corner makes it just as good as a table for conversation.

Will spare the usual suspects of recs since everyone will contribute here too.
