The offensive line will get help from Brady implementing more short timing routes but there will still be games where we don’t want to get into a shootout offensively and the line will have to prove they can still be a classic LSU ground and pound team. Games against Texas, Auburn and A&M it will be very important to control the clock with the running game. On the other end we don’t stand a chance against Bama unless we can back their defense up by throwing the ball. I’m cautiously optimistic about the season because I do believe the o-line will be improved based on experience alone plus Burrow has a year under his belt. This is the best chance we have of ending the streak even if we do have to play the game in Tuscaloosa.

Coach O has singled out O-Line analyst Mark Hutson as already being a difference maker for the O-Line this Spring. Hutson started 36 straight games at Left tackle for Barry Switzer at Oklahoma. He had 6 years coaching in the NFL. And 20+ in college - including a interim HC gig at Tulane. At OK, he was the LT on the team that AVERAGED 499 yards rushing per game. I'm thinking the guy has some hands-on experience on how the blocking for the running game can be improved.
