Dad has the that bottom one. It's rough and you get wet, but it serves the purpose. We had a 50 hp. We needed a bigger boat but couldn't really afford a bigger boat with bigger engine. Due to the weight, we could push a 17' with a 50. Then some of us eventually got too fat for the 50 but we could afford the engine upgrade at that time. :)
