I was watching the science channel last night about black holes. Apparently every galaxy has a giant black hole in the middle that fuels it. When galaxies collide, the black holes can merge creating an even larger black hole.

I doubt they would just brush on past each other.

More fascinating news about my favorite galaxy, Andromeda: The Hubble telescope has discovered a double nucleus in the galaxy. Young blue stars have formed around the galaxy’s black hole. The same phenomenon has been observed in the Milky Way.
