The doctors performing these surgeries are fricking monsters too.
You have to be a very sick person to mutilate the body of someone who is so clearly in the depths of mental illness.

Agreed. I occasionally get referrals for psychological evaluations for people wanting bariatric surgery. Surgeons require these before operating on patients to make sure that patient is making a rational choice and not one based on symptoms of a major mental illness. I am shocked that the same does not happen in these cases.
