No. I'd take Bob Pettit over either of these two. Not taking anything away from either of them, but Barkley improved drastically from college to the NBA. He was a rebounder and got points off offensive rebounds, but he wasn't an all-around player in college. His strength's were his rebounding and his strength (pardon the pun). Wasn't a very good ball handler in college and wasn't a very good passer. He was a good post defender but not great. Those reason's kept him off the 1984 Olympic team. Bernard was a great scorer, but that was all he could do. Bob Pettit was a great all-around talent. Shoot, pass, handles, rebound, block shots, he had the complete package. Sam Bowie, when he was healthy was a dominant big man and was more valuable than either of these two. I see what you are trying to say, but you can add Bob Pettit to that team and remove King or Barkley. Maybe you didn't want to come across as being overly biased, but for real, Pettit was better than these two. It'd be hard to argue with an all sec team with these 4 LSU players on it. 3 HOF and one that could have been. There's a lot of great players being over looked here and if you strictly go by merits of their NBA careers then King and Barkley would make sense. But you'd have to remove Chris and put Bob in if you were allowing their NBA careers to sway opinion of who should be on the team.
