Going to hawaii at the end of may. It appears that most of the decent tours are out of the big island in regards to seeing active volcanoes.
Which company gives the best bang for your buck in regards to helicopter tours?
Mind you, I'd really like to do a tour that includes flying up to the point where the lava is flowing into the ocean.
Thanks in advance.
Also we are staying in oahu for most of our trip; so what airline is cheapest to get from oahu to big island?
Also any cheap hotels for a night while at big island?

I don't believe there is any active lava on the Big Island currently. Volcano dropped its load last year after 30 years of eruptions.

Beginning in May, 2018, the lava lake that existed inside Halema‘uma‘u crater disappeared and lava flows from Pu?u ?O?o crater have ceased. There is no molten lava or lava glow to see anywhere in or out of the park.
