re: Tennessee game hasn't lost any luster, right?

No, it shouldn't lose any luster because they still have a chance to win the conference, but it's frustrating as hell seeing this team lose 2 games at home that they should have won I feel. They lose both games to teams that were struggling at the time, but they come into the PMAC and strangely get hot from outside like a lot of teams have strangely done this season. Lol I don't know what to make of that, is the goals in the PMAC a BBall magnet or something for the opposing teams. Lol Also, LSU's defense continues to be suspect, you can't keep leaving people shoot 3's uncontested like that. Last nite they had the size advantage with Bigby-Williams and Reid and failed to use it regularly on these people. They should have kept going low to them all nite and abusing their shorter lineup, getting them in foul trouble all night.

UF gave LSU two things they hadn’t seen much if at all this year: extended zone defense and double teaming big men. The zone kept Waters from penetrating at will, hence the relative lack of Gator foul trouble, and Naz was slow to get the ball out of a double team (this may have been his first experience being double teamed by actual adults). We’ll see how the team reacts to this type of approach no later than when they go to Gainesville.
Two other odd things that had to happen for UF to pull off their well-earned victory:
1) LSU shot below average from the line; there would be no OT otherwise.
2) UF got several unusual offensive rebounds. LSU is a great team on the boards, and when a long range shot goes up, they block out well at the spots where shots usually come off the rim; many of UF’s 3’s bounced long, resulting in a frustrating amount of Gator second chances.
shite happens. Geaux Tigers.
