April is way too late. By then it's already been in the mid 80s for a month and weed seeds have been if I were you I'd put down and pre emergent (not weed n feed) and fertilize in mid March-ish, when soil temps are around the 70s

Will pre emergent prevent new weeds from popping up in St. Aug. even if there are existing weeds that have been sprayed with weed killer (I used Bayer Advance)but not yet fully eradicated?
