Gamecocks22 and Bootlegger thanks for replying. I have St Augustine and broadleaves. Also I discovered some of the dreaded Torpedo grass. Been reading about the Torpedo grass and it is the devil. I have some wiper components and I am going to build a boom to try to wipe the Torpedo as it grows taller. I have some 53.8% Roundup for that. The rate for the 2,4-D mixture is 3 qts per acre and 1 quart of surfactant. Can you recommend a safer rate or product ? Many thanks to y’all.

St Aug is sensitive to 2,4-D. A three way product (like Weedfreezone or better yet Trimec Southern) that uses lower concentrations of 2,4-D and higher concentrations of other dimethylamine salts is typically better. You'll have less collateral damage to your grass.
