Besides Oldman, I'd say there were at least three other Oscar worthy performances: Hardy, Cumberbatch, and maybe the best of them all, Mark Strong.
It was just a masterclass on all fronts in classic espionage filmmaking.

I agree about Strong but am interested in why you omitted Colin Firth? So much was centered around him, both he and Strong.

Great song too that I remember so well when it was a hit and why it was a hit and in what movie originally, on what soundtrack.
