Because it's been funny in the MCU. It wasn't funny in TLJ. It was mostly lame.

People don't mind humor, even in dramatic movies. What they dislike is poorly done humor. TLJ had a lot of jokes that bombed.
What is frightening is those were the best gags. There were plenty more that did not make the final cut that were even worse.
