Something nobody discusses when talking BR I-10 traffic problems is a loop around LAFAYETTE. If there was a loop around the west side of Lafayette, connecting Duson to south of Youngsville on I49/90, a good bit of I10 traffic bound to New Orleans would take that route. Would sure beat the crapshoot that is the basin, or being stuck on the west side of the bridge.
