Mine all were taught cursive a little at school, but there wasn't much time spent in the classroom learning it. A lot of it was sent home as homework practice and not really graded. None of my kids use it very much but they can probably read it.
FWIW, Louisiana passed a law a few years ago requiring schools to teach cursive.
