Replacing xbone controller joystick

Anybody with experience on this want to chime in? The plastic around the tip is torn and messes with accuracy. About to order a replacement joystick from online and do it myself. I'm looking online at the procedure and it seems fairly straightforward.

How much for the parts? Replacement controllers are not that much for a whole new one.

The EA fight night games destroyed at least 2 controllers for me.

Always buy the protection plan on Xbox controllers lol
